The authors dwell on the features of structurally tectonic, cryohydrogeological, geotechnical conditions and oil-and-gas-bearing capacity of the deep horizons of Russia's largest diamond field. They have found that the interpipe space is represented by decomposed and downdip rock blocks with the displacement amplitude up to 140 m and increased gas content in the subterranean space.

In this article, the authors provide the experimental evaluation of the base for extraction of sand and gravel from the coal strip mines overburden when hydraulic mining tools are used. The authors classify the process flows for extraction and processing of the construction materials from the quaternary overburden. They use this classification to choose three variants based on the use of commercially available equipment.
