- Abstract:
- The study of the displacement process is undoubtedly relevant for ensuring the safety of undermining of buildings and structures on the earth’s surface, as well as when planning construction in undermining areas. Of particular importance when assigning protection measures is the determination of expected deformations of the earth’s surface, the location and numerical value of which, in the absence of instrumental observations on the considered section of the mine field, are closely related to the angular parameters of the displacement process. The fixed values of boundary angles currently used in practice do not always allow for reliable calculation of the length of the displacement half-trough and, as a result, for correct calculation of the expected deformations. The article presents the results of studies aimed at finding the time dependence of changes in the values of boundary angles on the main possible influencing factors. The study revealed that the boundary angles are subject to changes mainly at the initial stage of the displacement process. A mathematical model has been established that allows determining the value of the boundary angle depending on the amount of subsidence achieved above the center of the zone adjacent to the constant boundary of the mined-out space. The results of the study may be useful in improving the regulatory framework on the topic under consideration, as well as in developing measures aimed at protecting surface objects from the harmful effects of underground mining operations.
