- Abstract:
- The article covers the issues of using the Earth’s magnetic field models and their parameters in directional drilling. Examples of geomagnetic models that can be used in directional drilling for drilling wells and determining their trajectories are shown. Domestic high-resolution models are considered, their main characteristics are given. Methods for accounting for local magnetic anomalies and variations in the Earth’s variable magnetic field to improve the accuracy of well drilling are studied. The study can be useful for specialists of mine surveying services of oil and gas companies in matters of providing directional drilling with geomagnetic data.
