- Abstract:
- The article deals with topical issues of mineral resources development on the Arctic shelf of Russia using innovative autonomous mining complexes. Special attention is paid to the study of the relationship between sea water density and depth as a key factor affecting the efficiency of subsea equipment. The authors proposed an original technical solution - an autonomous mining complex using compressed gas energy for extraction, processing and transportation of minerals. A mathematical model has been developed that allows to calculate the lifting force of the autonomous mining complex taking into account changes in water density at different depths. The practical significance of the study lies in the justification of the choice of working gas for an autonomous mining complex and the creation of calculation models applicable to the design of underwater mining operations. The results of the work can be used to optimize technologies for the development of mineral resources in the Arctic.
