- The Scientific Council of the Russian Academy of Sciences on Mineral Processing, the Melnikov Institute for Integrated Mineral Development of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IPKON RAS), and the Ural State Mining University (USMU) held the International Conference "Innovative Processes for Integrated and Deep Processing of Natural and Non-Traditional Mineral Raw Materials" (Plaksin Readings 2025). The conference was held from September 29 to October 4, 2025, in Yekaterinburg at the Ural State Mining University.

- Abstract:
- The problem of disposal of substandard ores and their enrichment tailings is becoming more urgent with the increasing demand of the industry for metal. The key to solving this problem is new technologies that make it possible to control the properties of recyclable minerals by influencing technological processes. Information is provided on the mechanism of phase transformation of metals into solution and interaction with non-metallic rock components. The effect of atomic chlorine, oxygen, and trivalent iron on the extraction of metals from pyrite and arsenopyrite raw materials is detailed. The influence of variable factors on physic-chemical processes is characterized: anode current density, temperature, and other factors. The levels and intervals of variation of independent variables of factors in experiments according to the Box-Behnken plan are determined. The implementation of the research methodology makes it possible to optimize the parameters of metal leaching, reduce the cost of their extraction and increase the range of applications of resource- and nature-saving technology. The research results may be in demand when optimizing production at existing enterprises and improving the quality of projects for the development of new fields, as well as in the process of training highly qualified personnel in mining and processing specialties.

- Abstract:
- It is known that the mode of mining operations is one of the main factors influencing the economic efficiency of deposit development. At the stages of development of design documentation, the order of deposit development is determined in such a way as to ensure the design production capacity with minimum volumes of overburden operations, which in turn determines the scheme of deposit opening. The order of development plays a particularly important role in the development of deposits with two or more working zones. The paper presents the results of the analysis of the mining and geological conditions of the Bey coal deposit, where the development of deposit sections is carried out by two working zones in different groups of seams. Despite the obvious benefit of developing one of the groups of seams, in the long term, such uneven development creates negative conditions for subsequent periods of deposit operation. Based on the analysis results, the main reasons for such a development order are formulated, potential negative consequences are identified and further research objectives are formulated.

- Abstract:
- Two variants of mathematical models of rock displacement in an axisymmetric formulation are considered for the forecast assessment of the consequences of underground mining. For a homogeneous, isotropic, linearly deformable array, their solutions are obtained by the integral Hankel transformation. The given examples show the possibilities of modeling, what results can be obtained and in what form they are presented. The change of the subsidence trough during the development of mining operations is shown. Graphs of subsidence, horizontal displacements, and deformations used for the control of rock displacement are constructed. The effect of changes in the mechanical characteristics (coefficient of lateral expansion) of the array on the calculation results has been assessed. The research results may be useful in assessing the harmful impact of mining operations on surface structures and natural objects.

- Abstract:
- During construction of road and railway tunnels, one of the most important indicators determining the cost of the project is the speed of excavation. The speed, in turn, is affected by many factors, both technological and organizational: the method of excavation, the productivity and technical condition of the mining equipment, the clear organization of the cyclicity of the work performed, the professionalism of the team. This article considers the possibility of increasing the speed of excavation, with the mining method of conducting work using the drilling and blasting method by increasing the length of the entry in one cycle of work and bringing the coefficient of utilization of the borehole (CUB) to the required indicators. During the construction of a railway tunnel, during the excavation period in permafrost conditions, tests were carried out on various face blasting schemes by adjusting the parameters of the drilling and blasting work (BW) passport, depending on the mining and geological and mining technical characteristics of the face and the results of previous blasts. The data for each set of trial cycles of the drilling and blasting operation are presented, the entire path to achieving a positive result is shown. Based on the results of the work done, the optimal cutting scheme and the drilling and blasting operation passports were determined, allowing for the maximum speed of penetration of the calotte at the lowest cost.

- Abstract:
- The article provides a comprehensive study of the application of the recycling process for the development of gas condensate fields in Western Siberia with a high gas condensate factor (more than 200 g/m3). The article discusses the physical and chemical principles of the method, which involves maintaining the reservoir pressure above the condensation pressure to prevent retrograde loss of condensate in the reservoir. The article presents a mathematical description of the process, including the calculation of the reservoir coverage factor based on the dimensionless injection volume and the permeability variation coefficient. The methodology includes the use of compositional hydrodynamic modeling using multi-component two-phase filtration equations and state equations. A comparative technical and economic analysis of various development scenarios was conducted, revealing an increase in the condensate recovery factor from 45% to 85%. The critical impact of geological heterogeneity and tax conditions on the economic efficiency of the project was established. The research findings can be useful in designing development systems for new gas condensate fields in Western Siberia with a high gas condensate factor to maximize the condensate recovery factor.

- The state of natural resources and trends in their use are becoming more relevant with the increasing demand of industries for metal. It is proposed to accept the condition of preservation of the earth’s surface as a guarantor of the separation of production and recreation zones. A model has been formed to determine the ecological and economic efficiency of environmental conservation. The indicator of industrial and ecological perfection of the enterprise is proposed. An algorithm for managing the potential of a mining enterprise has been developed. The objects of modernization of the RSO-Alania industry have been identified. The implementation of the research methodology makes it possible to optimize the parameters of metal leaching, reduce the cost of their extraction, increase the range of applications of resource- and nature-saving technologies, optimize production at existing enterprises and improve the quality of projects for the development of new deposits.

- Abstract:
- The article provides a geological and structural analysis of the Arylyakh deposit, located in the Srednekansky District of the Magadan Region, one of the key gold-silver ore deposits in the region. Special attention is given to the influence of geological and metamorphic characteristics on the selection and adaptation of mining methods in modern conditions. The article provides a detailed examination of the lithological features, fault structures, and mining and geological conditions of the complex permafrost massif, as well as the applicable and recommended mining technologies. Based on the analysis of modern mining solutions, the optimization of the mining system has been substantiated by introducing a chamber-pillar system and digital technologies aimed at improving the efficiency and safety of production.

- The productivity of oil and gas wells is ensured by achieving geological drilling objectives and the optimal placement of the productive wellbore section within the reservoir. Accordingly, improving the accuracy of well placement and determining their actual trajectories is a fundamental task in oil and gas drilling. Magnetic elements of the drill string can introduce significant distortions into the readings of the Z-axis magnetometer of the MWD (Measurement While Drilling) telemetry system and are one of the primary causes of azimuth errors. The article focuses on compensating for the magnetic interference from the drill string. It reviews the main methods for eliminating external magnetic influence on telemetry system measurements—hardware measures, single-station correction, multi-station analysis (MSA)—and their limitations. It is shown that in a number of cases, the application of these correction methods allows for significant trajectory adjustment and brings the accuracy of the magnetic survey closer to that of gyroscopic surveys. Data on the results of MSA correction of well trajectories are provided, with an assessment of the ‘raw’ and corrected trajectories relative to gyroscopic surveys. This article is a continuation of publications in issues No. 3 and No. 4, 2025, of the journal “Mine Surveying and Subsurface Use”, dedicated to the general description of mine surveying well position control and the use of geomagnetic data in the oil and gas industry.
