- Abstract:
- The article presents the results of a research on the stress-strain state of rock massifs around tunnels located in a dip-layered massif. As a result of the research, the authors developed a technique for determining stress fields around workings associated with the impact of water pressure in an anisotropic massif. The study was conducted using Muskhelishvili’s method, which made it possible to calculate the components of stresses and relative deformations with account of the relief, gravitational and tectonic forces, as well as the hydrostatic pressure of water. The results show that the distribution of stresses around the tunnel changes insignificantly. The stresses extend in the arch and footing, while in other areas they are compressed. High accuracy of calculations is confirmed by the permissible error. Contour stresses caused by hydrostatic pressure are of a tensile nature and can threaten less durable rocks, with a pressure of 20 to 200 MPa. The vaulted section of the tunnel with vertical walls effectively distributes loads, especially under soil and seismic impacts. When selecting the types and strength of fastening, it is important to take into account the values of water pressure and maximum tensile contour stresses. The stress-strain state of tunnels and workings is analysed with the use of the Matchad software environment. Determination of boundary angles of the process of earth's surface displacement during the mining of reserves of the Verkhnekamskoe deposit of potassiummagnesium salts
DOI: 10.56195/20793332_2024_6_25_32
- Abstract:
- The study of the displacement process is undoubtedly relevant for ensuring the safety of undermining of buildings and structures on the earth’s surface, as well as when planning construction in undermining areas. Of particular importance when assigning protection measures is the determination of expected deformations of the earth’s surface, the location and numerical value of which, in the absence of instrumental observations on the considered section of the mine field, are closely related to the angular parameters of the displacement process. The fixed values of boundary angles currently used in practice do not always allow for reliable calculation of the length of the displacement half-trough and, as a result, for correct calculation of the expected deformations. The article presents the results of studies aimed at finding the time dependence of changes in the values of boundary angles on the main possible influencing factors. The study revealed that the boundary angles are subject to changes mainly at the initial stage of the displacement process. A mathematical model has been established that allows determining the value of the boundary angle depending on the amount of subsidence achieved above the center of the zone adjacent to the constant boundary of the mined-out space. The results of the study may be useful in improving the regulatory framework on the topic under consideration, as well as in developing measures aimed at protecting surface objects from the harmful effects of underground mining operations.

- Abstract:
- The article presents the results of geodynamic monitoring of the mining allotment of the «Anthracite» mine under conditions of uncontrolled flooding of the mined-out space and mine workings. Calculations and mapping of near-surface zones that are dangerous for the occurrence of dips were completed according to the standard methodology and using a neural algorithm. According to the standard methodology, 21 failure-hazardous zones were identified. Due to the fact that a significant part of the zones posing a threat of the formation of failures of the earth’s surface are located on the territory of residential buildings or on agricultural lands, a failure-hazard forecast was made using a neural network. As a result of the forecast, the number of zones posing a threat in the next 20 years was reduced to 11, and their area decreased by 2.5 times. Such a forecast allows minimizing the costs of implementing measures to protect the earth’s surface from the harmful effects of mining operations.

- Abstract:
- When conducting research to determine the orientation of the main stresses, wells with a length of 2-3 mine diameters were used. With the help of a measuring probe included in the «Gidrofracturing» IVC, sections of the well were blocked and subjected to loading by injecting liquid into it until critical tensile stresses were reached, leading to rock rupture. For monitoring before and after hydraulic fracturing, a visual monitoring method using a downhole video probe was used. As a result of experimental studies to determine the effective stresses in the rock mass in the North-Western section of the Tashtagol mine using the method of measuring hydraulic fracturing, 14 tests were carried out at one measuring station. According to the data obtained by the visual method of determining the orientation of hydraulic fracturing cracks, at the measuring stations the action of the maximum principal horizontal stress has an azimuth of 280 ± 20°.

- Abstract:
- In the open development of ore deposits, in order to establish rational volumes of reserves according to the degree of preparation for excavation, it is necessary to compare the amount of damage from equipment outages during blasting and the costs of forming and maintaining a reserve of exploded rock mass. The particular importance in the development of ore deposits is the constancy of the quality of ore supplied for processing. Fluctuations in the content of the mineral components in the mined ore depend on the technological reserve of the exploded ore, which creates the necessary conditions for the formation of a mineral flow of a certain quality. When determining the optimal volume of exploded minerals, it is necessary to take into account possible deviations in their quality from the requirements for the conditions of the enrichment regime. Dependencies influencing the volume of exploded rock mass reserve are considered. It has been proved that the optimal level of ready-to-excavate reserves on mining and overburden horizons will correspond to the minimum of the sum of certain categories of costs during open-pit development. Dependencies were identified and proved in determining the volume of reserves ready for excavation on mining and overburden horizons. The main aim. The purpose of the study was to consider the techniques of definition the optimal transient reserve of exploded rock mass during open mining. Methodology. Technical-economic and mining-technical analysis of determining ore reserves according to the degree of readiness for excavation for mining and technical conditions of steeply dipping ore deposits. Conclusions. To determine the rational volumes of reserves ready for excavation, it is necessary to take into account the mutual influence of the main factors: the cost of moving excavators; losses from maintaining during the year at all levels of reserves necessary for the complete removal of ore above the reserve strip of the working site; losses from an increase in the current stripping ratio; losses from a decrease in the productivity of a quarry for a mineral due to the need to maintain reserves; losses of under fulfillment of the plan due to unsatisfactory demand for the company’s products.

- Abstract:
- In conditions of high cost of the land plots lease and restriction of their areas for overburden dumps placement, there are relief areas unfavorable, in terms of stability conditions, allocated, that increases the risk of deformations and violations of the stability of the dumps. By methods of the system analysis, risk analysis, as well as based on the results of the instrumental surveying monitoring, possible scenarios for development of the deformations and their probabilities, along with the scheme of deformation of the piled-up mass, have been established. In the article there are the results of experimental studies of the stress-strain state of the various types of dumps in order to detect the most vulnerable areas, where signs of deformations appear in the first place. It is figured out that schemes and mechanism of deformation of the natural and technical systems are determined by morphology of the natural and man-made relief of the earth’s surface. Taking into account schemes and mechanism of the NTS deformation, as well as experimental data obtained from the results of surveying monitoring, the design of the observation station has been developed, providing for the location of the benchmark rods in the weakest places, that makes it possible to detect deformations of dumps at an early stage and timely take measures to prevent landslides. The results of the research can be useful in substantiating the most hazardous sites as per the condition of stability, where it is recommended to fix bench mark rods of the observation station for geo-mechanical monitoring of the external and internal dumps, as well as bulk soil structures.

- Abstract:
- In Kuzbass coalless zones of quarry fields of open pit mines make up about half of the total space, and the share of rocks requiring drilling and blasting preparation is from 20 to 80%. The experience of operation of excavators of large unit capacity shows that their technical capabilities are realized only by 60–70% due to the increase of cycle duration by 1.3 times, mismatch of dump truck body capacity to the capacity of the excavator bucket and non-rhythmicity of truck traffic, inadequate quality of rock crushing. In the given article the analysis of parameters and indicators of coalless zones mining by powerful excavators in a complex with dump trucks of large capacity is executed and preliminary conclusions about possibilities of increase of productivity of such excavator-automobile complexes are made, the basic requirements to technology of conducting stripping works with application of excavators of large unit capacity and heavy-duty dump trucks are resulted.

- Abstract:
- In two parts of the article, the possibilities of using nuclear energy in the development of mining deposits in Mongolia are presented. It is shown that the subsoil of Mongolia contains a significant resource potential of critical metals necessary for green technologies, which allows creating new enterprises or significantly increasing production volumes at existing ones. The issue of prospects for the development of low-power nuclear power plants (ASMM) as an important technological direction in the economy of Mongolia is investigated. It has been established that the lack of reliable information on the amount of associated critical metals in ores and concentrates of known deposits, technological issues of extraction and low profitability of production hinder the realization of this potential. Due to Mongolia’s territorial isolation between Russia and China, difficult climatic and geographical conditions, and low population development of the country’s territory and resources, the speed of its economic development is low. It is determined that with huge reserves of strategic minerals, the current situation is characterized by a low level of development and the rate of return on investment funds. The shortage of electricity is met by electricity imported from Russia. It is proposed to use a low-power nuclear power plant (ASMM) based on the RITM-200N nuclear reactor for energy supply and development of mining enterprises in Mongolia. The advantages of ASMM for the location area in Mongolia are a high installed capacity coefficient (KIUM); reduction of CO2 emissions when replacing thermal power plants; less financing, short payback periods, lower technological risks in mass production of equipment, design and construction. ACMMS are suitable for a small power grid in Mongolia, where the discreteness factor of power units is critical for redundancy and planning of network solutions. Research in the development of ASMM as a mass energy technology can become an important technological direction in the Mongolian electric power industry. The increase in specific capital investments for units with low-power reactors due to economies of scale can be significantly reduced due to modularity and mass production, simplification of technical and construction solutions, and in-line construction on one site. Modularity and mass production are important conditions for faster technological learning, as well as reducing unit investment and operating costs, and increasing the competitiveness of ASMM.

- Abstract:
- The paper presents a series of experiments on coal dust samples from coal seams prone to spontaneous combustion. The fractional composition of the samples was estimated. The parameters of thermal decomposition of coal dust have been determined, which give an idea of the fire-hazardous properties of coal. It was found that particles with a size of 50-150 microns predominate in all samples. In the considered sample, it was found that samples with the highest index of chemical activity are characterized by the lowest temperature values at all stages of thermal decomposition, and the amount of mass gain depends on the fractional composition. The results of the study are of scientific and practical interest for the development of a method for controlling endogenous fire hazard by the express method during underground coal mining.

- Abstract:
- The study has established that flotation concentrates with different gold content obtained by processing iron-oxidized low-sulfide gold-copper ore have an almost identical chemical composition with the rock-forming elements. Changes in gold content correlate with changes in the concentrations of Cu, Pb, Zn, S, As, C – there is an increase in the content of these components from a flotation concentrate poor in gold to a flotation concentrate with a higher gold content. The main minerals of copper and iron have been determined, the main part of which is oxidized. Phase analysis showed that the main part of gold in concentrates is in free form, and intergrown with copper minerals as well. Laboratory studies determined equal optimum time for leaching gold with cyanide for all flotation concentrates, regardless of gold content. At the same time, the extraction of copper into the solution is about 13-20%. Optimum concentrations of sodium cyanide have been determined. It is recommended to continue research for reducing the consumption of sodium cyanide and releasing by-products in the form of high-quality copper concentrate.

- Abstract:
- In mineral processing, the main task of grinding processes is to release valuable minerals to simplify subsequent separation steps such as flotation. Traditionally, the design and optimization of grinding schemes were based on achieving a predetermined particle size distribution with optimal performance, considering energy efficiency and equipment wear. However, modern research in the field of flotation and mineralogy raises the question of whether it is possible to increase the requirements for grinding processes in terms of particle preparation.

- Abstract:
- The article presents the problems of developing mineral deposits under or near water bodies, as well as the results of the analysis of a multi-year data array of monitoring deformation data of rock mass, including those located in the Donetsk coal basin. Examples of coal mine flooding with a recorded manifestation of discontinuous water flow rate are considered, when intervals of maximum flow rate were replaced by intervals of multiple weakening of the inflow, as well as an uneven rise of mine flooding. The results obtained showed that in order to ensure safe development of subsoil near water bodies, it is necessary to take into account the factor of the hierarchical state of natural cracks in the rock mass, as well as the fact that water, especially under high pressure, is a significant factor influencing the change in the crack system of the underworked mass.
